Parliament has enacted the Marine Aids to Navigation Bill 2021. The Act intends to replace the nearly 90-year-old Lighthouse Act of 1927. Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal introduced the bill in the Rajya Sabha.
