Bank loan defaulter prevented by investigating agency from boarding flight to go abroad

In a significant judgement passed on 12th February, 2021 the High Court of Karnataka dismissed the writ petitions filed by NRI businessman Dr. B.R. Shetty, who was the guarantor of the loan amount of Rs.2800/- crores extended by the Bank of Baroda (BOB) and the Punjab National Bank (PNB) to the companies promoted by him.
